Growth, Learning and Innovation – GPHA 2024



In early 2023, the Southeast Health District’s Executive Management Team set out to combat employee turnover, increase overall morale, and boost employee retention rates. After conducting district-wide surveys and listening sessions, we collected 1,079 comments from staff for ideas to improve the workplace experience in our district, with 564 being identified as potential action items to be discussed further.

As a result, in July 2023, the Southeast Health District relaunched the Office of Growth, Learning and Innovation (GLI). Previously referred to as Workforce Development, the Office of GLI is committed to providing meaningful opportunities for growth and learning, while fostering innovation throughout our 16-county district. The Office of GLI serves as an all-encompassing segment that oversees required training, workforce development announcements, and additional GLI opportunities. As we continue the dream of cultivating an employee-first workplace, the Office of GLI is always open to hearing the thoughts and ideas of staff for improvement across the district.
