National Preparedness Month

Every September, the Southeast Health District, along with its preparedness and response team, comes together to observe National Preparedness Month. This year’s theme is Personal Health Preparedness.

What is Personal Health Preparedness?  Protecting your health and wellness during a large-scale, public health emergency event, like hurricanes, and long-lasting power outages that can limit your access to supplies and services for several days, weeks, or even months.

Southeast Health District’s Emergency Preparedness team encourages year-round personal and community health preparedness for disasters, disease outbreaks, and human-caused emergencies. For more information visit https://www.cdc.gov/cpr/prepareyourhealth/PersonalHealth.htm
