Candler County Health Department Offers
New COVID-19 Testing Opportunity
Metter, GA – Candler County Health Department will begin offering another option for COVID-19 testing on Thursday, August 20, 2020 from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. An appointment is required to be tested as scheduling availability is limited.
Testing through the health department and other public health testing sites is easy and at no charge! To register for an appointment at Candler County Health Department or at one of the public health drive-through testing sites, visit https://covid19.dph.ga.gov .
Tests are done by nasal swab and are self-administered with instruction by trained staff. Test results will be available in 3-5 business days and individuals will be provided with information on how to receive results once they are tested. Testing is available to all Georgia residents, regardless of the county in which they reside.
Widespread testing and contact tracing, along with social distancing, wearing masks or face coverings in public and frequent handwashing, are critical to preventing further spread of COVID-19 in Georgia.
