As of 5 PM on 7/31/2025:

Although it will still be hot this Friday (both in actual temperature and continued high heat index values), it will be cooler than it was at the beginning of the week, so that’s great news! Over the weekend, temperatures and heat indexes will decrease slightly. However, temperatures and heat index values are expected to rise again as next Tuesday arrives.

A cold front will stall near our region over the weekend, which will bring a higher chance for showers and thunderstorms. The rain is anticipated to begin arriving in our area Friday evening and will continue throughout the weekend. Please see the graphics below for expected precipitation totals.

We encourage you to monitor your local forecast over the weekend via trusted forecasting services as you go about your weekend activities, such as weather.gov (National Weather Service) or weather.com (The Weather Channel). As we look towards next week’s forecast, it does look like it will remain warm and rainy.

We will update this page again tomorrow (Friday) afternoon with updated forecast graphics and information, and this new information will be provided at the top of this page.

Stay cool, stay dry, and stay attentive to the weather!
