Position Title: Public Health Physician (Board Certified)

Paygrade: R, S, or T Dependent Upon Qualifications/Unclassified  One time hiring incentive is to be negotiated upon offer

Location: Southeast Health District, Home base negotiable Bulloch, Coffee, or Ware County

Description of Duties:

Planning, coordinating and assisting with clinical activities and medical components of the Infectious Disease Department. Opportunity to grow clinical practices in areas of diabetes, hypertension, Hepatitis C, Medication Assisted Treatment and provision of PrEP. Consults with, advises and makes recommendations on the quality and scope of medical services offered. Ensures compliance with recommended federal and state guidelines and regulations. Confers with patient and family regarding diagnosis, illness and treatment. Assists with medical case management to coordinate, integrate and facilitate services for the optimal health outcome of the patient. Performs medical evaluations and makes recommendations to patients. Assisting with clinical activities and medical components of the Infectious Disease Department including HIV care.

Minimum Qualifications:

Medical degree recognized by the Georgia Composite Medical Board (GCMB) AND licensure or license-eligible to practice medicine at a state institution or in the state of Georgia as provided by state law.

Preferred Qualifications:

Completed residency in Internal or Family Medicine and be BC/BE in chosen field of medicine recognized by the AMA; Three to five years clinical experience; Currently have a Georgia medical license; Experience in HIV care; Public Health experience; MD/MPH or MD/Public Health Certificate preferred.
