Job Responsibilities
Under broad supervision, provides general direct nursing care. Cares for population with special needs during disasters/emergencies and biological and chemical protocols. General nursing experience, under limited supervision, and serve as the liaison between district and state teams.

These positions will be specifically assigned to the COVID-19 testing and vaccine sites, providing public health nursing services to individuals, performing collection of specimens, test processing, immunizations and education.

Working outdoors: 
Must have the ability to stand for several hours, and dress appropriately for outdoor weather.
Must be flexible with work shift changes as needed.
Preference to Bilingual staff (Spanish).
PPE will be provided.

Minimum Qualifications
Licensed LPN with active an unencumbered GA license
CPR certification
One year of nursing experience
Additional Information
This is temporary or hourly paid work performing professional health care services. Positions in this job are established for less than 9 months and are not eligible for benefits if the position status is temporary (i.e., SCOA 513).

Current State employees are subject to State Personnel Board rules regarding salary.

DPH accepts educational credentials recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and/or the US Department of Education (DOE). DPH will contact educational institutions to verify degree, diploma, licensure, etc.

The candidate selected for this position may be subject to pre-employment drug screening and a criminal background check.
