This flu season, roll in to your local health department, roll up your sleeve, and roll out with protection and peace of mind! Drive-thru flu shot clinics are back at multiple health departments across the Southeast Health District. A yearly flu vaccine is the first line of defense against the flu and is recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) for everyone age 6 months and older. Vaccination is especially important for certain high-risk groups, including young children, pregnant women, adults aged 65 and older, and individuals with chronic health conditions (e.g., asthma, diabetes, or heart disease).
