The Office of Infectious
Diseases, better known as OIDS, oversees all disease surveillance,
investigations, and contact tracing activities for the Southeast
Health District. Duties include follow-up and data collection of the
Notifiable Diseases reported to the division of Public Health at the
State, District and Local levels. OIDS Activities include disease
investigation education, HIV Counseling and Testing, AIDS 101, School
and Daycare Auditing, Emergency Preparedness and other outbreak
investigations. Programs of OIDS are STDs, TB, HIV, Epidemiology and
Our vision is having a healthy and safe community by providing timely
intervention, increased awareness and productive collaboration with
community partners of the Southeast Health District.
