Dr. Rosemarie D. Parks has been the Southeast Health District Health Director since July 2005. A native of Ohio, Dr. Parks was director of Medical Education at Ohio North East Health Systems, a federally qualified health center, before joining the SEHD. Dr. Parks holds a master’s degree in public health from Youngstown State University, Ohio, and a doctorate of medicine from Northeastern Ohio University College of Medicine. She followed that with a residency in internal medicine at St. Elizabeth Health Center.

Dr. Parks is board certified in internal medicine. She also served as the director of the Internal Medicine Residency Ambulatory Care Clinic and was in independent practice with Salem Area Medical Associates for two years. Dr. Parks is a member of the American College Physicians and an assistant professor of Clinical Internal Medicine at Northeastern Ohio University College of Medicine. She has a special interest in bioterrorism and preventive medicine.
